Recruitment of "Graduate Engineers" through GATE 2014 at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd., is a mega integrated Oil refining and marketing company with Gross Sales of s 2,15,675 Crores and 260th position in the prestigious list of Fortune Global 500 Companies during 2012-13. HPCL accounts for about 20% of the market share and about 10% of the nation's refining capacity and also operates the largest Lube Refinery in India producing Lube Base Oils of international standards, which accounts for over 40% of the India's total Lube Base Oil production.

HPCL is looking for young, energetic, ambitious Graduate Engineers in the field of “ Mechanical Engineering” & “Chemical Engineering” for the post of “Management Trainee”. Mechanical & Chemical Engineers desirous of pursuing a career with HPCL are required to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE-2014).

Qualification :-

• BE/B.Tech and Final year student are also eligible.
• 50% minimum Marks for Reserved category People and 60% for GEN/OBC 

Age :- 

• General Candidates : Maximum 25 years as on 30th June 2014
• OBC (Non Creamy layer) : Maximum 28 years
• SC/ST: Maximum 30 years
• PWDs with degree of disability 40% or above : Age relaxation of 10 years
• candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir between 1.1.1980 and 31.12.1989 : Age relaxation of 5 years 
• Ex-servicemen & Commissioned Officers (including ECOs & SSCOs, subject to rendering minimum 5 years’ military service and fulfillment of other conditions prescribed by Government of India : Age relaxation of 5 years

Fees :-

A Non-refundable amount of R 200 + applicable Banking charges towards processing fee is required to be paid by General & OBC-NC candidates while applying for HPCL. No Processing fee is applicable for SC/ST & PWD candidates.

Selection Procedure :-

• Shortlisting based on Merit in Mechanical, Chemical Discipline.
• Group Discussions & Personal Interviews

For GATE 2014

• Commencement of on-line Applications for GATE 2014 on the websites of IITs / IISc = 2nd September 2013
• Last date for submission of on-line Applications for GATE 2014 on the websites of IITs / IISc = 3rd October 2013

For HPCL

• Last date for online registration of application by candidates for HPCL = 07th January 2014
• ATE-2014 Online Examination Between 01st February 2014 and 02nd March
