Applications are opened for 1 year Apprenticeship Training by the following
disciplines as per the Provisions of Apprentices Act 1961 in BARC, Mumbai.

Bhabha Atomic Research Centre

No. of Trade Apprentices:-

1. Dip. in Mechanical Engg. - 8
2. Dip. in Automobile Engg - 2
3. Med. Lab Technician - 4
4. X-ray Technician - 2
5. Opthalmic Technician - 2

Qualification : 

1. Sl. No. 1 : Dip. in Mechanical Engg. (from Board of Technical Education of a State) with not less than 50% marks. 
2. Sl. No. 2 : Dip. in Automobile Engg. (from Board of Technical Education of a State) with not less than 50% marks. 
3. Sl. No. 3 to 5 : Respective vocational course certificates in 10+2 (vocational) schooling. 

Age Limit : Not less than 18 years.

Selection Process :  Written Exam, Interview

Stipend During Training :-

1. Sl.No. 1 & 2 : `. 2530/-p.m. 
2. Sl.No. 3 to 5 : `. 1970/-p.m. 

How To Apply :-

1.  Application forms in accordance with prescribed format in English or Hindi on thick foolscap paper (Size 34 cms X 22 cms) and complete in all respects with superscription on the envelope “APPLICATION FOR APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING IN BARC” is to be sent to DEPUTY ESTABLISHMENT OFFICER (R-V), BHABHA ATOMIC RESEARCH CENTRE, TROMBAY, MUMBAI – 400 085 on or before 31/08/2014. 
2. Photograph : A recent photograph should be pasted on the right hand top corner of the application and should be signed across by the candidate. One additional copy of the same photograph should be sent along with the application. 
3. ENVELOPE : Attach a self addressed unstamped envelope (bilingual-Hindi and English) (Size: 200 mm x 110 mm) along with the application, Copies of Certificate: Attested copies of the following certificates must be submitted by the candidates with their application. (a). Educational and Technical Qualifications (supported by appropriate mark sheets indicating the subjects offered at the examinations). (b). Date of Birth (As indicated in SSC Certificate). (c). Certificate that they belong to SC/ST/OBC community in prescribed proforma, where applicable.

Salary :- Rs 54,500/- (Approx.)

Qualification :-

• For the post of Technical Officer/C (Electrical) B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical discipline with ≥60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University. 
• For the post of Technical Officer/C (Electronics) B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics discipline with ≥60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University. 
• For the post of Technical Officer/C (Mechanical) B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical discipline ≥60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University. 
• For the post of Technical Officer/C (Physics) M.Sc in Physics with ≥60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University
• For the post of Technical Officer/C (Chemistry) M.Sc in Chemistry with ≥60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University. 

Fee :- A non-refundable application processing fee of `250/- (Rupees Two hundred and fifty only) is chargeable from applicants. Candidates belonging to SC/ST, dependents of defence service personnel killed in action, persons with physical disability and women candidates are exempted from payment of this fee. Persons with physical disability should produce necessary certificate from Govt. Hospital/Medical Board in support of their claim.
For payment of the application fee, the candidate may download the three fold challan from the website : www.barcrecruit.gov.in and make the payment in any branch of the State Bank of India. After making payment in the bank, the portion of Institution copy should be produced along with the application form at the time of interview. 

Age Limit :-

• ≤35 years for UR 
• ≤38 years for OBC 
• ≤40 years for SC 
• ≤40 years for ST

HOW TO APPLY :- 

1. Applications will be accepted on-line only. 
2. The candidates may download a copy of the on-line application and admit card and submit the same along with the attested copies (duly attested by a Gazetted Officer) of all relevant documents in support of date of birth, educational qualification (supported by appropriate marksheets indicating the subjects offered at the examinations), caste, experience at the time of interview. Candidates who report for the interview without any of the supporting documents will not be allowed to appear before the interview committee.
